The multimedia music show "Highland Saga" is not only convincing with classics like "Amazing Grace" and "Auld Lang Syne" - performed by the singers and musicians of the Highland Saga Band, because the cast is reinforced with bagpipes and drums, which make the music titles a goosebump event for the whole family.
The Great Highland Bagpipe is an archaic instrument and it is always a great experience when the bagpipers literally melt into their instrument and present it with pride. The sounds of the bagpipe are wistful and militant at the same time, this instrument has a very special meaning in Scotland and many people find themselves in this sound.
The sometimes mystical titles represent the country with a clear musical style and the history associated with it. The audience goes on a musical journey through time with Highland Saga and learns the story of young Dougie Cunningham who grows up in the Scottish Highlands and falls in love, but loses his great love and then joins the legendary Scots Guards. Does the story have a happy ending?
The "Highland Saga" was created by the most famous protagonists of Scottish and British folk, world and military music culture. The legendary voice of the "Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo", Alasdair Hutton, could be won as advisor and narrator of the show.

Scotland in the 1930s: young Dougie Cunningham inherits a set of Great Highland Bagpipes from his grandfather Kelvin, a former piper with the legendary Scots Guards.
At the grave of his beloved relative the young Scot vows to uphold and honour the tradition, to learn this instrument which has been such a deeply meaningful symbol of his homeland for hundreds of years, and so to follow in his grandfather’s footsteps.
But life - particularly for young men - is not just about learning, and one day he meets the beautiful Caitlin, and quickly falls in love with her.
Their fragile young love is put to the test: Caitlin’s parents emigrate to the distant shores of Canada, taking Caitlin with them. Dougie stays behind alone, and pours all his energy into learning the Highland pipes,
but dark clouds are appearing on the horizon, storms are brewing, pushing the world towards a terrible war - the future becomes very uncertain. Dougie, inspired by the many stories of his brave fellow Scots fighting together in the Scots Guards, enlists in the legendary regiment and is sent to the battlefront.
